Gorilla trekking

For visitor experiences, there are 4 main trailheads where treks usually kick start in this park and they include Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo and Rushaga. Mountain gorilla trekking

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the lodge/hotel in Kampala

Day 2: Depart for Kibale forest National Park
After early breakfast, at 7:30am you will depart for Kibale forest national park through Mubende-Mityana and Kyenjojo towns through the attractive landscape of beautiful tea plantations and the Rwenzori chain on the background that will lead you to Fortpotal town where you have your lunch stopover. After proceed to your booked lodge and check-in for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking
After early breakfast, you will get at the park headquarters for a pre-chimpanzee tracking/briefing by one of the park rangers and later at 8:00am you will be allocated a park ranger guide and set out for chimpanzee tracking in the jungle. This experience will expose you to a number of primate species like Chimpazees, red, white and black colobous monkeys, Manga bays , Olive baboons and many more not avoiding sights and sounds of forest birds such great blue turcos among others. Later get back to your lodge lunch after you proceed to Bigodi swamp in the park a breathtaking environment for bird lovers with various bird species.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
After early breakfast at 8:30am you will leave for Queen Elizabeth national park at a leisurely pace through the crater lakes in Kasese one of the most popular districts known for its numerous attractions. You will have a stopover in Kasese town for Lunch and later continue to the park with another at the Equator for memorable photo taking and later continue with more sightings of various wildlife along the road such elephants, buffalos, antelopes and a quite number of bird species among other wildlife as you proceed to your booked lodge to retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After early breakfast you will head to Kasenyi plains an open grassland for great views of numerous game wildlife such as elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, antelopes, many bird species and many more game animals. After the thrilling experience in the wild, you will get back to your lodge for lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat on the Kazinga channel that exposes you sightings of various water animals like hippos, crocodiles, fish among others and many bird species over 530 species. Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park
After early breakfast, you will get ready and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park through Ishasha area for a game drive well known for its climbing lions and later proceed on 80km drive to Buhoma area for a check-in in your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking
After early morning breakfast 7:30am you will have packed ready and head to park headquarters for pre-gorilla trekking and later proceed to the jungle in search for the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat to watch them play, move , feed and climb trees an experience that will leave you a story tell. After this gorgeous adventure, you will get back to your lodge to retire for refresh and retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Mount Mgahinga national park
After early breakfast at 8:30am you will leave Bwindi for Mount Mgahinga national park via a scenic back road with magnificent views on rolling hills and terraced fields through the Bamboo and montane forests of Ecyuya wildlife reserve that will lead you to Kisoro town at the base of Virunga Mountains. After the arrival of will check-in your booked lodge to retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Golden monkey tracking and transfer to Volcanoes
After early breakfast at 7:00am you will to the Mgahinga mountains national park for Golden monkey tracking an adventurous activity expose you to these rare primate species in their natural habit accompanied with other wildlife. After the amazing experience you will to your lodge for lunch and check-out for Volcanoes national park crossing the Rwanda border to Musanze area where the park is situated. Day 10: Gorilla trekking, city tour and departure
After morning breakfast you will leave for the park first for pre-gorilla trekking and later proceed to the forest in search for mountain gorillas in their habitat watch them play, move, climb trees with a lot of fun amongst themselves an experience an interesting experience you will live to remember. After this touching experience, you will get to your lodge for lunch and check-out to leave for Kigali city tour at the Kigali Genocide memorial a laying ground of over 150,000 people for an incident of the Rwanda Genocide between the Tutsi and the Hutu tribes in 1994. After this visit, you will be dropped to Kigali Airport by your driver guide for flight connection back home.
